In 1908 the world saw its first atomic explosion! 37 years before Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This was the Tunguska event! Tunguska, located in Yeniseyesk Governorate, Russia. It one of the worlds most isolated location and roughly 40 miles away from the nearest populated settlement.
This event has gone unexplained for over 100 years! To this date no one can adequately explain what really happened at Tunguska on that day. The explosion itself destroyed an enormous area of forest, some many tens of thousands of trees and since the event the only thing that can grow there is grass!
On Lookers from distant towns saw a huge fireball fall from the sky this is what’s believed to have caused the explosion and subsequently cause all the damage. To this date no one knows what caused the explosion at Tunguska! Although some explanations have been put forward. Scientist tried to suggest it was an asteroid or a comet but due to the lack of physical evidence this theory has been rejected. Other explanations range from UFOs to a black hole! Another strange detail to this story is the explosion pattern was in the shape of a butterfly which just adds more mystery to this case. The Tunguska event is the largest impact ever recorded on Earth. Yet we still have no clue to what caused it!

Black Magic: The Pendle Hill Witches!
Pendle hill is steeped in history dating back centuries. Pendle hill attracts many visitors for many reasons but perhaps the most popular attraction is that of the so called Pendle hill witches!
The story of the Pendle hill witches starts in the year 1612. When a family of peasants lived in a limestone tower, it is said that this family was no ordinary family and that they dabbled in black magic and worshipped the devil! It was reported that the alleged witches made clay effigies out of teeth and human hair at the time people were dying of mysterious illnesses and people were said to have died in great pain, even though the people up to that point were all in good health! It was also reported that all the milk turned sour and that all the cattle mysteriously died!
It got so bad that people were afraid to go up the hill and eventually a local magistrate, Roger Norwell, arrested two of the people living in the tower; followed by the rest of the family being arrested two days later. Which led to the famous witch trials, to this day Pendle hill and its dark past is still shrouded in mystery, so it is no wonder why it is a hot spot for paranormal activity and ghost hunters alike.
Paranormal investigators and psychics have all felt a dark presence and at times have reported been attacked by an unknown assailant. So, perhaps the witches of Pendle hill still haunt and plague the area with their black magic!
