The Murder House: Iowa Axe Murder House!
The Iowa axe murders took place on the evening of June 9, 1912, and early morning of June 10, 1912, in the town of Villisca in Iowa. And is one of the most gruesome murder story there is! It involves the brutal deaths of the Moore family and two guests that were spending the night
The eight victims, which included Joshua & Sarah Moore, their four children and two Moor children that were spending the night. All eight victims were found bludgeoned to death with an axe. It was suspected that the killer was waiting for the family in the attic as two cigarettes were found in the attic and were believed to have belonged to the murderer!… All the eight victims were slaughtered during the night and they were killed with such forced that axe marks were left in the ceiling along with over items of furniture.
The killer left the axe in a down stairs guest room, and a blood-filled bowl was found in the kitchen! Before leaving the killer also draped clothes over the smashed up faces of the eight victims, along with covering up every window and mirror in the house with cloth. There was a lengthy investigation that turned up several suspects no one was ever charged for the crimes and these terrible murders have never been solved and the killer got away with murder. Today, the house is a tourist attraction and you can visit it, it is also a hot spot for ghost hunters and is decorated as it were that fateful night.
Everyone who has stayed there have all reported the same thing. A sense of heaviness, orbs, sounds, and a sense of not being alone in the house! There is also reports of a whistle that goes off at around 2am… It is said that this is the time of the murders! The fact that someone with such hate and anger, that could do such a terrible thing towards other people, was never caught and punished for these horrendous murders makes this case a lot more chilling!

The Legend of The Mothman:
The Mothman: Real or a case of mistaken identity
The legend of the Mothman started on November 12, 1966 and ended on December 15, 1967 and took place in point pleasant, west Virginia. The first sighting of the Mothman was on November 12, 1966 by some graveyard diggers, who claimed that the creature flew down from some trees and straight over their heads!
The next sighting happened on November 15th by Roger Scarberry, his wife and three other people after the sighting they all ran to the Mason County court house. They reported seeing a 7 Foot creature with wings and glowing red eyes! The deputy on duty that night said he believed the people to be telling the truth. Point pleasant was a close-knit community and he trusted these people and didn’t think that they were lying.
It was not long after these first two sighting that the word got out about the alleged sightings and the local mounted a search party to find the creature to kill it! But they were unsuccessful. More sightings were spotted over the course of the next year and the same description was always given; a 7-foot-tall creature with wings and glowing red eyes! There is so much to this story and we plan on doing a full podcast episode on it soon, but here are a few of the possible explanations given to support the sightings: An owl that people mistook for the Mothman, a mutant crane or even that the an alien these were some of the explanations given! However, the most believed theory especially amongst the locals was that the creature was there to warn them of an impending disaster that was looming. As on December 15th, the silver bridge mysteriously collapsed killing 46 people!
People on that day claimed to have seen the creature on the bridge and believed it was trying to warn them of what was about to happen. So then, after reading this; What do you think it was? Was it a real creature that was there to warn the people of point pleasant or just a case of mistaken identity?

Creepy True Tale Tuesdays – Voice In My Head

In 1984, a woman was sitting at home reading when she suddenly heard a very clear voice inside her head. The voice told her,
“Please don’t be afraid. I know it must be shocking for you to hear me speaking to you like this, but this is the easiest way I could think of. My friend and I used to work at the Children’s Hospital, Great Ormond Street, and we would like to help you.”
She was A healthy woman and had no previous recorded illnesses, she was born in continental Europe in the mid-1940s and settled in Britain in the late 1960s. After a series of jobs, she got married, started a family, and settled down to a full time commitment as a housewife and mother. She rarely went to her general practitioner as she enjoyed good health and had never had any hospital treatment. Her children had also been in good health.
After a series of medical tests, including psychological assessments, the patient was eventually diagnosed with a large benign meningioma brain tumour. The voice continued to speak to her throughout the medical testing.
After she had surgery to remove the tumour, the patient heard from the voices one last time after regaining consciousness when she heard them say,
“We are pleased to have helped you. Goodbye.”
She reported no post-surgical problems and never heard the voice again. The study of a patient diagnosing her own brain tumour with help of mysterious voices in her head was published by the British Medical Journal (BMJ).

Red Ridge X – Stanton Moor – UFO`s & Ley Lines.
What started me writing this article was a visit we did to the Nine Ladies stone circle at Stanton moor. We decided to go to this location after going once before with a group of people that often visit the site to meditate. It is said the stone circle is on a crossing of major ley lines and from what I can remember it is a very peaceful place. After going to the site I found a few pieces of information that I found rather interesting.
