Here is 10 ghosts walks in the UK….considered to be some of the best!

YORK TERROR TRAIL

York is an old city. Its history stretches back over 1900 years.

In that time it has seen more than its fair share of darkness.

Invasion by the Romans and the Vikings, civil wars and deadly plagues. Each has cast its shadow and carved its mark on the ancient streets of Eboracum.

For the most part these horrors stay safely in the past. Forgotten.

The York Terror Trail is here for those who wish to see those sights and learn those secrets that most people would rather forget.

EVERYDAY at 18:30 leaving from The Golden Fleece Pub

Nottingham Ghost Walk

The Original Nottingham Ghost Walk is a storytelling tour around the Castle Quarter of the city. It is easy walking, about 1/2 mile long and takes approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours. The walk starts from Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, every Saturday at 7pm.  Enjoy a drink or arrive early for a pre-walk meal. We then gather together to hear about the Cursed Galleon of Ye Olde Trip and Nottingham’s only pirate. The walk then sets off up Castle Road, skirting the bottom of Nottingham Castle’s ramparts and walls.

Along the way, you may hear tales of Queen Isabella’s screams; the 28 Welsh princes left to hang and their bodies to rot from the castle walls; the mysterious ‘Lady in the Light’ or a police dog who had a strange encounter in the castle’s galleries. You may also hear the disturbing tale of the Human Pin Cushion, the Baby in the Wall and the antics of Marshal Tallard; a French war hostage and socialite. Arriving at the graveyard of St Nicholas’ Church, you will learn about a plague pit and a long lost swamp in the old Broad Marsh, which was the final resting place for a corpulent landlady. Finally, in ancient, haunted caves below Ye Olde Salutation, you may hear stories of a Haunting Highwayman; a little girl, who lived and died, and still remains there, to this day; and … the Best Way to Die?

Hellfire Club Dublin Tour

Price: €25 (includes free transport)

Regular Walking Tour Meeting Point: OUTSIDE The Brazen Head Pub

Meeting Point HALLOWEEN WEEK 26th to 31st Oct 2017: Back Gates of St Audeons Church

Departs Every: Thur & Fri

(Departs ever night Halloween Week 26th to 31st Oct)

Departure Time: 7pm

Board our private Hellfire Express to hear some of the haunted legends that abound further afield than Dublin City Centre at such famous landmarks as St Patrick’s Cathedral, Rathfarnham Castle and Kilakee House as we wend our way along the path towards the lonely dark Dublin Mountains range.

Arrive at the Hellfire Club – we disembark the bus and walk up to one of Ireland’s most lonely and infamous places. The burnt out shell of this haunted hunting lodge dating from 1725 is known for its association with Satanism, the supernatural and the occult. Be warned! Although this desolate place is miles from civilisation it has witnessed activities that should not be seen by anyone on this earthly plain. It is not unusual for visitors to experience head and chest tightness as their subconscious picks up on the horrors that this lonely hill has witnessed, it is not a place for the faint hearted!

Once onto of the range, we GUARANTEE YOU THE BEST VIEW IN DUBLIN. Don’t forget your camera – a must for all budding photographers. See why this is the ideal location renounded by the darker side of Dublin gentry in the 1700s

Our storyteller will recount the history of this place, including the destruction of the ancient megalithic monuments, the exhumation of the demonic statue and dwarf skeleton to the evil rituals and events that took place here such as the black masses, human and animal sacrifices, and the infamous card game with the “cloven-hoofed visitor.”

The historical “Haunted Hellfire” excurison will last approximately 2.5 hours (inclusive of travel time to and from the Dublin Mountains)

Feel free to bring your own torch if dont have a phone. We will however be insisting however that all mobile phones and lights be turned off at certain points on the tour… for your safety!

Finish back at the Brazen Head, where you can avail of our special drinks promotions and dance the night away to live music.
